Gov. Abbott: Texas Removes More Than 1 Million Ineligible People From Voter Rolls

The thing about the corrupt Democratic Party is that they will try to cheat in various methods and forms, and even as so blatant as utilizing unchecked voter rolls to allow illegal migrants, whom they allowed to enter the country willingly without proper vetting, to vote in November.
On August 26, Governor Greg Abbott announced that Texas has taken down more than a million ineligible voters from voter rolls, including illegal migrants, those who moved out-of-state, and those deceased. The move abides by Senate Bill 1, which was signed into law in 2021.

“Election integrity is essential to our democracy.”

Abbott added, “I have signed the strongest election laws in the nation to protect the right to vote and to crack down on illegal voting. These reforms have led to the removal of over one million ineligible people from our voter rolls in the last three years, including noncitizens, deceased voters, and people who moved to another state. The Secretary of State and county voter registrars have an ongoing legal requirement to review the voter rolls, remove ineligible voters, and refer any potential illegal voting to the Attorney General’s Office and local authorities for investigation and prosecution. Illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated. We will continue to actively safeguard Texans’ sacred right to vote while also aggressively protecting our elections from illegal voting.”

Since 2021, Texas, under the government of Gov. Abbott, has removed more than 1 million individuals from the voter rolls, including:

– More than 6,500 noncitizens
– More than 6,000 felon
– More than 457,000 deceased
– More than 463,000 voters on the suspense list
– More than 134,000 moved out of state
– More than 65,000 non-response to a notice of examination
– More than 19,000 who requested to cancel their registration
Of the 6,500 undocumented aliens, 1,930 have a history of participating in the election. Those who are on the suspense list are people who failed to confirm their residential address in the state.

To better track and prosecute illegal voters, Abbott introduced House Bill 1243, which advocates for increasing the penalty for illegal voters, including voting of undocumented aliens to a second-degree felony.

Senate Bill 1 elevated the penalty for lying while registering to vote as a state jail felony. It also criminalized ballot harvesting, required the Secretary of State to hold random audits of elections every two years, blocked distribution of unsolicited mail-in ballot applications and ballots, and required ID for mail-in ballots.
