ATTACK DOG: Adam Schiff Barks at Free Speech

Just this week, Schiff doubled down on his efforts to silence opposing voices by sending a letter to Big Tech CEOs, including Meta, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Google, urging them to ramp up censorship efforts as the 2024 election looms. Schiff, along with seven of his Democratic colleagues, demanded more aggressive actions from these platforms to curb what they refer to as “misinformation” and “disinformation.” In their view, false narratives are a “threat” to democracy—except when they’re the ones spreading the lies.

This move is deeply hypocritical. Schiff spent years peddling what has been one of the greatest political hoaxes of our time—the Russia collusion narrative. As the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff leaked unverified and misleading information to mainstream media outlets, falsely claiming that there was “damning” evidence linking former President Trump’s campaign to Russian interference. Yet, despite these bold claims, the Special Counsel’s investigation led by Robert Mueller found no such collusion.

Schiff’s crusade against free speech goes back even further. During the height of the Russia collusion investigation, he pressured social media companies to deactivate accounts that called for transparency in the investigation. Many of these accounts, he falsely claimed, were tied to Russian operatives. Thanks to independent investigations, including journalist Matt Taibbi, it became clear that these were baseless accusations with no significant activity connected to foreign interference.

The Democrat-led censorship machine isn’t stopping there. Just weeks ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook was under intense pressure from the FBI and other federal officials to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election. This blatant act of censorship, disguised as an attempt to prevent Russian disinformation, further exposes the collusion between Big Tech and the Democratic Party.

This wasn’t the first time. Zuckerberg also admitted that federal officials leaned on Facebook to censor COVID-19 content, humor, and satire—anything that didn’t align with the administration’s narrative.

The pattern is clear: Democrats, under the banner of “protecting democracy,” are the ones threatening it. Their manipulation of the media, collusion with Big Tech, and suppression of information they find inconvenient all point to a deeper agenda—a desire for control, not truth.

If the Democrats and their allies in Silicon Valley succeed in their efforts, it won’t just be conservative voices that are silenced. Free speech itself—the cornerstone of American democracy—will be a thing of the past. Conservatives must continue to push back against this Communist Democrats censorship machine and expose the real threat to our republic: those who are willing to sacrifice the truth for power.
