How would you like to sleep after a heavy night of drinks? Or when you finally find time for a nap after a busy schedule? I guess, your answer would be something like this; in the same way these owls sleep in the picture! It seems as if these guys are napping without no care for the world and this is how most of us would like to be after a tiring day.

We all know about owls and most of us love to have a pet owl after seeing the one Harry Potter owned. However, something that most of us do not know about owls is that they have weird sleeping positions. You may not have heard, but some sleep with their faces down and to be honest, we find it cute and adorable!

These owls who sleep differently came to be known after the journalist Mark Rees tweeted one picture of them. The picture received over 100k likes and after that people all around the world began to share pictures of owls sleeping with their faces down.

According to Rees, these owls sleep like this as their heads are too heavy. However, some people believe that these guys just like to nap like that just as we humans do!

Adding to this uproar of owls, The National Audubon Society, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to conservation published a heartwarming story about two barred owlets who had fallen out of their nest. After these babies were put back into their cage, their rescuers observed how they were recovering.

The article said “keeping their talons tightly gripped on a branch, the owlets lay down on their stomachs, turned their heads to the side, and fell asleep. Their naps are short and when they are asleep, they do not like to be awakened, even to be fed”
