“When rescuers heard about a puppy nearby that was unable to move, they acted quickly.
Puppies, like human children, require comfort, a consistent diet, and adequate shelter. This poor baby ended up on the streets with no one to care for him. He was alone and completely shut down.”
“There was simply a puppy lying on the ground, breathing but with few signs of life, if any at all. It was promised to the precious pup that his new human friends would do everything they could to look after him.
He had no energy to move after they loaded him into their car, and his gorgeous soulful eyes looked at the rescuers as if he recognized they were going to help him. He had just run out of energy to fight for his life, and it was time for the rescuers to fight for him.
They went to the medical center after the pup refused to eat and was still too weak to move. The veterinarian decided he needed a full workup, but first he desperately needed intravenous therapy.”
“With some fluids on board, it was time to examine him for parasites and other issues. The puppy had been severely malnourished, resulting in anemia. That was why he was so frail.
One of the rescuers stayed with the pup during the rescue. She syringe-fed him every hour because he was still too weak to stand. He wasn’t a huge fan at first, but with some gentle stroking and kind words, he began to consume. The puppy needed every calorie he could get!
The brave little puppy is still in the hospital, but he’s making amazing progress. He’s also eating all by himself! We are overjoyed with each and every success. Thank you to the volunteers and veterinarians for saving this puppy’s life. Let us send our best wishes and prayers his way! Check out the video below to hear the pup’s story.
