Every time stupid Democrats attempt to take down President Donald Trump, he comes out stronger and victorious.
Not only did their weaponization of law against the former president fail impeccably, but it also propelled the Republican presidential nominee to the top.
The corrupt New York judge, with a daughter closely related to Democraps, was scheduled to hand in Trump’s sentencing on September 18.
However, Merchan ruled on Friday to delay sentencing until after the election, November 26.
“This is not a decision this Court makes lightly but it is the decision which in this Court’s view, best advances the interests of justice,” he wrote in his decision.
“The public’s confidence in the integrity of our judicial system demands a sentencing hearing that is entirely focused on the verdict of the jury and the weighing of aggravating and mitigating factors free from distraction or distortion. The members of this jury served diligently on this case, and their verdict must be respected and addressed in a manner that is not diluted by the enormity of the upcoming presidential election. Likewise, if one is necessary, the Defendant has the right to a sentencing hearing that respects and protects his constitutional rights,” Merchan furthered.
Earlier, Trump’s lawyers appealed to delay the judge’s decision to move his sentencing to September 18.
The judge also rescheduled his ruling on the presidential immunity issue on November 12.
In a 6- 3 decision made by the Supreme Court in July, the justices decided that the former president has indeed absolute immunity according to the Constitution.
Legal representatives for the former president also filed an appeal on the Second Circuit of Appeals to demand that the New York Supreme Court consider the SCOTUS decision on presidential immunity.
“Unlawfully incarcerating President Trump in the final weeks of the Presidential election, while early voting is ongoing, would irreparably harm the First Amendment rights of President Trump and voters located far beyond New York County,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.
