[REVIEW] Rollercoaster Head IS Genetic | Paternity Court

In this episode, a man named Mr. Wells is doubting the paternity of his wife’s children because neither child has his “rollercoaster shaped” head.

Mr. Wells and his wife, Mrs. McDaniel, have been married since February 14, 2014. However, their marriage is being torn apart due to rumors and doubts about the paternity of their two-year-old daughter, Ava Wells, and 18-month-old son, Darryl Wells. Mrs. McDaniel claims that the doubts are destroying their family, especially since they recently suffered the loss of a son. She states, “It’s destroying us, like, we don’t need to go through this because we just lost a son six months ago, and we need to be grieving with each other. And for him to deny my kids, it’s destroying us even more.”

Mr. Wells, on the other hand, claims that he has substantial evidence to prove he didn’t father Mrs. Wells’ kids and says he cannot give 100% of himself until he has proof he did. He mentions that he heard rumors that his wife was cheating on him and that his kids belong to somebody else. These rumors started when his ex-girlfriend warned him that his wife might be pregnant with someone else’s child.

Adding to his doubts, Mr. Wells noticed that his wife was acting sneaky with her phone, often deleting her text messages. He also mentions an incident at a club where a man put his hand up Mrs. McDaniel’s dress and smacked her while she was dancing. This incident, coupled with the rumors, led him to question the paternity of his children.

Mr. Wells also points out physical attributes as a reason for his doubt. He mentions that his head is shaped like a rollercoaster, a trait that all his other children possess. However, Ava and Darryl do not have this trait, leading him to question their paternity further. He states, “For one… I have this, Your Honor. Jerome, will you hand me that, please? Sure. And what is this, Mr. Wells? WELLS: That is the birth certificate. As you can clearly see, I’m labeled as Ava’s father, I’m not on the birth certificate of him.”

In the end, a DNA test is conducted to determine the paternity of Ava and Darryl. The results reveal that Mr. Wells is indeed the biological father of both children. Despite the emotional turmoil, Mr. Wells expresses his relief and hopes for the future. He says, “I’m really hoping that we’ll be able to move forward and we’ll be able to get married and do the things that we have always talked about doing. This is the last little question I ever had.”

This episode serves as a stark reminder of the complexities and emotional turmoil that can arise from uncertain paternity situations. It also highlights the importance of honesty and responsibility in these circumstances. The episode ends with a sense of relief and clarity as the DNA results confirm Mr. Wells as Ava and Darryl’s biological father, but it also leaves a lingering question about the impact of these events on Ava and Darryl’s future.
