In a four-minute recorded speech on Tuesday, Donald Trump pledged to criminalize providing gender-affirming healthcare to minors if he clinched reelection.
The former president vowed to “protect children from left-wing insanity,”
“I am announcing today that I will be asking for the death penalty for child rapists and child traffickers,” Trump announced.
“And to protect our children from sexual mutilation, we will make it a felony for any medical professional to perform surgery on a minor without parental consent.”
Over the previous years, many experts and parents have raised concerns about transgender surgeries on minors — among the medical interventions conducted were double mastectomies on girls, as well as puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
The woke regime of Biden and Harris have long pushed to keep such dangerous interventions for minors and criticized age restrictions already implemented by various states.
At present, 25 states restrict transgender surgeries and hormone treatments for underage individuals.
Transgender surgeries are irreversible, including double mastectomy and phalloplasty for females and vaginoplasty for biological males. In addition to this, some hormone treatments can also have lifelong side effects, such as voice damage.
As early as last year, the Republican nominee pledged to stop gender-affirming care for minors and vowed to “promote positive education about the nuclear family” and “the roles of mothers and fathers.”
“No serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender,” Trump said.
“Under my leadership, this madness will end.”
The GOP nominee also proposed to boot out doctors who agreed to provide gender correction among minors under his term.
He further added that his policy reforms would also affect education curriculums and any school official who suggests that a student “could be trapped in the wrong body” will be faced with “severe consequences.”
A new credentialing body for teachers, Trump said, would promote “positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers and celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique.”
The former president also pushes to bar transwomen from playing on women’s sports teams.
